The sky fills with clouds a warm gray,
the Sun tucks away, blanketed behind
His fluffy comforter.
And cold droplets fall down
like angels’ tears,
rejoicing for renewed life.
Grass blades drown out,
soaking up each tear deep within their roots.
They grow tall, reaching towards the sky,
singing and praying;
praising His name.
Flower petals drip cold rain;
water pools puddle on their leaves.
They soak in the water,
relishing in life.
The rain drizzles to a stop,
and the clouds part,
exposing the Sun’s glowing face.
His light rays shine down,
feeding the lives below.
They reach up, grasping for His attention.
